IT’S HERE!!  TIME FOR OUR HOLIDAY SOCIAL GATHERING

Since we did not have a meeting in November and will not have our regular meeting the last Saturday of December we are having a HOLIDAY PARTY on December 8, 2007. So ya’ll come and bring a dish of your favorite food or dessert and a gift or two for when we pull names everyone will go home with a gift.

Also, Juanita Chaisson is collecting toys for the Toys for Tots Program to help the needed children in the area. Please do not wrap the gift and do not send any used toys. Toys must be kept in their original package. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, make check payable to Toys for Tots-Houma-Terrebonne. Remember the 9-12 year girl category, toys are not just for small children. Bring these toys to our Holiday Party and Juanita will bring the toys to the children.

CORRECTION

I must apologize for my error in last month’s  newsletter. I thanked Mr. and Mrs. Alvarez for their delicious sausage dish, but it was Perry and Cathy Albarado that made that delicious dish. Please forgive me Mr. and Mrs. Albarado and thanks again.

Please have the title, author, publisher, price and where it can be purchased. Send to wmoore1048 at aol.com or just let me know at the next meeting or call me.

NOTABLE INTEREST:

We offer our thanks and gratitude to the following for collating our quarterly: Jane and Phil Chauvin, Marcie and Essie Cavalier, Lou Ostheimer, Sandra Boudreaux, Beverly Alford, Jess Bergeron, Nancy Wright, Cynthia Daigle, Blanche Brown and Gloria Darcey. Again thanks, without your help we may not have gotten our quarterly on time.

We also want to thank all those who bring the treats we eat at our meetings. I would like to divulge their names but some would like to remain unknown. But two people we can always count on to have a treat or two are Dorothy Bergeron and Marcie Cavalier. Thank You Dot and Marcie.

Audrey says thanks for all the material she is getting, but she still needs more for the quarterly. Get your history in the quarterly by sending it to Audrey today.

RETURNED MAIL

Last month a quarterly was returned for Kim P. Vanek. All members are responsible for giving us their address if they move. It costs the Society $2.00 for returned mail and another $2.00 to re-mail the quarterly.

Merry Christmas and Happy NewYear to all.
