NEXT MEETING: January 29, 2011 — 1:00 p.m., Main Library Branch 151 Library Dr. , Houma , LA

Welcome 2011 HAPPY NEW YEAR

We finish 2010 with our annual social holiday gathering. What a glorious event it was! The Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon Church) was very gracious to lend us a hand, since we did not have a place to hold the event. We want to thank Sondras Saucier for making this happen. If you were not able to attend you missed a wonderful day. We had a very scrumptious feast and we had so many door prizes that everyone went home with at least three gifts each. We hope that you end this year with us at the social holiday gathering.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL TIME

Remember to start the new year by renewing your membership. Yes it's that time of the year. Our current membership expires 02/11. Labels for this newsletter were printed in early January 2011. If your dues were paid in late December 2010, received in January 2011, the expiration date on your label may not reflect the correct information. If you have not paid yet, there is a renewal form attached. Don't wait do it now.

We have a few guest speakers lined up for this year, but we are always looking for guest speakers. If you know of anyone of interest that has something they may be interested in sharing with the group please let Louis Duet know. He will make the arrangements so that we do not have overlapping speakers.

GUEST SPEAKER

Have you heard of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution)? Theresa Elliott “Ms. T” will be speaking at our January meeting. She will explain the procedure of what you will need to do to become a member of DAR.
