WHY DID YOU JOIN THE SOCIETY?
At the February meeting we reminisced about why we do genealogy. All the officers and board members took turns telling why we each joined TGS. Nancy Wright has been one of the pioneers of our society and has been treasurer from the beginning and still is. Phil Chauvin has been president from the earlier days and still remains president.  Audrey Westerman volunteered herself to be editor from the start and remains. Ed Hicks has been here for a long time and remains as vice-president. Jess Bergeron has been president several times from the beginning days and is currently correspondence secretary. Sheila Rodrigue is our recording secretary and has been for a few years. Louis Duet was hooked in by Audrey and assists Audrey as editor of the quarterly. We all want to leave a legacy for our future generations. We also had our election of officers and board members.  All positions remain the same. The remaining board members are Essie Cavalier, Patty Whitney, and Wanda Moore. We had hoped that some others members would have ran for one of the positions. We are all are aging and are in need to our younger members to become interested in a position of officer or board member. Think about this for the next election.
What about having a reporter for the society? Someone who we take pictures at meetings and special events and possibly put ads in the newspaper for the society. Give us your thoughts.

COLLATING WE BE AT THE NORTH BRANCH LIBRARY ON MARCH 27 TO PUT THE QUARTERLY TOGETHER. WE WILL START AT 12:30. IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE COME.
