WOW!! Did you make it to the holiday social gathering last month? No! Well you missed all the fun, prizes and food. Ooh la la, my taste buds are still jumping. We had so many delicious dishes-drummets, meatballs, Mexican taco salad, deviled eggs, roast beef sandwiches, vegetable trays, fruit trays, shrimp dip to die for, cakes, cookies, brownies, peanut butter and banana cake, just to name a few. M’m, M’m-good. So many door prizes that we had to put everybody’s name back in the box to draw again and again and again. Three people shy of everyone getting four door prizes each. Now aren’t you sorry you did not come? Maybe you would like to join us this December. This is an annual event.

Juanita Chaisson also says thanks to everyone who donated a toy or money for the Toys for Tots drive collected at our annual social gathering. It is such a blessing to see a child smile when they get a gift. Remember when you were a child and got a gift.

SPEAKER

Cliff (Diddy) Williams will be speaking at our January meeting. He will talk about saving our cemeteries. He will explain what are the roles of the Sons of the Confederacy and Daughters of the Confederacy and how they work as a team. He will also talk about what is being done in Oakdale and Bellevue Cemeteries, Willington, N.C.
