NEXT MEETING: December 10, 2011, 1:00 p.m., North Branch 4130 West Park Ave, Gray, LA

Prepared for what you may ask; to help restore our coastal marshes and swamp land. Kerry St. Pe' gave an incredible presentation and speech on our coastal erosion. People this is a big problem, if you didn't know it before, let it be known now. If you are interested in having a back yard for your great-grandchildren you may want to find out what you can do to help save our wetlands. We are losing mega land per year. Just saying this is not enough, you should see a motion picture to realize just how much land is disappearing before our very eyes. Kerry Michael St. Pe' is currently the Executive Director of the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP). Check out their website: www.btnep.org.

toysWe are having our annual holiday gathering at this meeting. Bring your favorite dish or dessert and a door prize or two to share. If you have never attended one of our holiday gatherings, you are missing a lot of delicious food and a good time. We have lots fun and food and everyone goes home with at least two door prizes. Juanita Chiasson will be collecting toys or monetary donations for the Toys for Tots at this gathering. If you plan to bring a toy it must be unwrapped and in its original packaging. Hope to see you there. Remember this meeting is at the North Branch Library in Gray, Louisiana.

If you are interested in becoming an officer or board director please submit your nomination to one of these members before the February meeting. Voting takes place at the February 2012 meeting.
