ATTENTION PLEASE!!
     Have you noticed the Meeting Place, above? Yes, that’s right, it is not a mistake. We are meeting at the North Branch because the Main Library Meeting Room has been usurped, the Saturday of our meeting. OK? 

     It was almost as good as being there. Our Recording Secretary, Sheila Rodrigue, had gone to the Congrès Mondial in Nova Scotia, so she gave us a good description of the trip and the festivities, and then Daniel, “Chuck” Guidry,who was hihgly involved in the Guidry reunion, had pictures. You may have seen Chuck’s picture in the New Orleans Times-Picayune. They showed him “kissing the cook” while they were all preparing a good Cajun meal for those poor, benighted cousins of ours who thought rappie pie was “good eating.” I’m sure they enjoyed themselves with some tasty food for a change. We sure did enjoy ourselves hearing about it.
      I’m sorry, but we have to leave town. We were asked to voluntarily evacuate for Hurricane Ivan, so we’ll see you at the meeting at the North Branch in Gray (I hope).
