ELECTION COMMITTEE

In October of the odd years, a request is made for election committee members. The President is an ex-officio member of every committee except the election committee.  The election committee then makes a public request for names of those interested in serving as an officer or director.  Before the election, if some positions are vacant, the committee confers, then privately asks members who they think would contribute to the good of the society if they would consider taking a position. The normal process is for a person to be elected to the board before stepping up to an officer’s position, but things aren’t always normal.

Officers are elected for a two year period. Elections are held at the February meeting in the even years, with official installation at the following meeting in March.

If becoming an officer or director interests you, please submit your nomination to the committee at the appropriate time.
